We were 'informed' that the blown insulation had been put in the attic. Not one to take anything at face value, Andreas went up into the attic with a ruler. I egged him on of course.
Sure enough, right by the attic access hatch it was nice and thick and fluffy. The required 10.6 inches (for an R40 value) covered only about 1/3 of surface area of the attic. The rest was between 4 & 7 inches deep.
Ring, ring...oh mr contractor man...
