Turns out the painters went to Montreal for the weekend and didn't make it back until well past the weekend.
Also we are impatiently waiting the return of the stucco people - because they need to install the scaffolding, at which point we call the structural engineer in to approve the set up. This is for the skinny space between us and our neighbour to the south where the stucco people need to use her roof to support the scaffolding. Then our builder needs to take the engineer's approval letter over to the Ministry of Labour who currently have a stop work order on the stucco due to worker safety concerns. This stop work order was issued in mid-March and we've been waiting ever since to get the stucco completed.
Today, however, there was progress with the painting. After selecting 3 colours for the whole house from the one inch by two inch colour chips, it came alive on the walls. Lianne specifically did not want a beige box so the three shades we chose were (Benjamin Moore) Cable Knit, Stonehouse and Wild Mushroom. Not that we're using BM paints, of course not. However, those are the colours and we were limited to a small number of different colours. It's more difficult than it sounds.
Here, Stonehouse hits the walls of the main floor kitchen/family room...and well, actually the whole main floor.
