Kitchen pick-up

While we were away we received a phone call from IKEA demanding that we pick up our order 'no later than Saturday May 3rd'.

Since we were on a southern Caribbean island that day, fat chance.

We called IKEA in a panic once we eventually got the message - also a bit angry as we had previously arranged with them to hold it until the 15th of May. Turns out they routinely make these types of calls to lazy picker-uppers and must have missed that ours was okay to be there. In any case, Andreas went out to the IKEA with our builder & the builder's truck to pick everything up. Since the house is so delayed, we are storing our entire kitchen in the builder's garage. 139 pieces! Of course, it is IKEA after all so it takes up no room at all.

I dread the day we have to actually assemble and install it all...
