Due to some scheduling conflicts, another HVAC guy came around 6:00pm to finish installing some parts for our gas fireplaces. The logs actually come with numbered instructions for placement. The very patient HVAC guy carefully arranged the logs with Andreas and I looking over his shoulder.
The remote was installed for the master bedroom fireplace. :) Yes, the remote.
I had also been smelling faint gas aroma around the kitchen (although Andreas couldn't smell it) so we asked the HVAC guy to check for us...seems I was correct, his little sniffer tool figured it out. Nothing dangerous - the cap was not sealed correctly but that will be coming off. It was all ok as the leaky cap is after the shutoff.
