Daily activities...the painters have been told to come in and wrap up so they started today. There was also some drywall/mudding and a couple of holes to fill so the drywall guy did some work yesterday. Mainly the skylight area that cracked, a spot in the upstairs hall and also the hole in the bathroom where the electrician had to cut out to bolt the wiring stack right through. Unfortunately he didn't come back today so we are all (incl. the painter) wondering where he is. Tomorrow the painter is coming back, however he only can do so much without the drywall guy.
The front door was also primed and painted black, just as I had wanted from day 1. No, not red.
Today we worked a bit on the stove and venthood, putting some pieces together and taking other pieces out of boxes in anticipation of the installer coming. Unfortunately he was delayed until 5:30pm and so both guys were there until 8:00 pm or so but it was good fun. Best of all the stove is now useable - but I haven't turned it on yet! We still need to actually install the vent hood but the guys were able to make the hole in the wall and lift the monstrous stove mostly into place!
