the final coat on the floors is due Friday. The drywall guy has never been back so the painter did as much as he could. We still don't know where the drywall guy is.
Thursday as we waited for the painter to finish, we head out to a different fabricator to get a quote. He happens to import as well. He had the colour of granite we like, however his was different enough to make it not as likeable - variations in natural stone and all that.
Meanwhile, the floors needed to be entirely vacuumed before Friday but I couldn't get there until about 10:30 pm. Andreas had already done most of the pre-vacuum clean up but we still installed the stove stainless steel backsplash and shelf, and then shoved it into place.
There we were until 1:30am...let's just not discuss why the builder is not doing this cleaning. It's a point of contention.
