The kitchen is as complete as it will get for now, we scheduled the stove/vent install for Wednesday. For now it is still sitting right in the middle of the kitchen.

I arrived Monday to find the metal work starting on the front of the house and the guy was not thrilled at the prospect. He has to come back twice because of the delays with the stucco on the south side and our need for fascia and eavestrough on the north side to satisfy the electrical inspector. The picture makes it look like the colours don't match but we did pick the one that was the same as the window colour.
And the DAMN CAT has been caught. It left the safety of the tub, got caught out since the doors closed behind it...somehow it tripped the racoon trap but wriggled free. Neighbour found it behind the furnace and a lenghty chase ensued. Broomsticks and catnip were involved...eventually they caught it under the kitchen island.
